Global Warming’s First Victims

Global warming has finally claimed its first victims that can be legitimately attributed to it. No, the weren’t killed in a hurriacane that wasn’t really caused by global warming, and they didn’t drown in a flood that wasn’t caused by global warming, they didn’t die in an earthquake that couldn’t have possibly been caused by global warming, and they didn’t freeze to death in a blizzard that also wasn’t caused by global warming. They were the result of a murder-suicide pact enacted by concern over global warming.

A seven-month-old baby girl survived three days alone with a bullet in her chest beside the bodies of her parents and toddler brother.

Argentines Francisco Lotero, 56, and Miriam Coletti, 23, shot their children before killing themselves after making an apparent suicide pact over fears about global warming.

Now I’m not implying here that if you believe in global warming, you’ll go insane and start killing your children. These people were obviously disturbed, and had they not latched onto the global warming hysteria, they probably would have found something else to attach their crazy to. But I doubt that the hysteria and demonization of humanity that global warming has generated helped much.

Says Melissa Clouthier at Right Wing News:

How many parents have had to calm their child’s fears about the global warming pseudo-science being presented as fact every day in the schools? Is it so surprising that people would be so afraid that the best solution they can find is to eliminate themselves?

The hysteria over global warming is increasing as the argument for it falls apart. The only way to continue the progressive policies global warming is running cover for is to whip people into an emotional frenzy so they can’t think about it. And in any frenzy, people will snap.
