IPCC Scientists Predicts 30 Years of Global Cooling
Posted by The Republican Heretic in Science on Tue 30 Mar 2010
That impending ice age global warming climate change thinger is pretty sneaky. As expected, the heating of the earth is causing it to cool down, or something. But the IPCC says it, so it must be true. Consensus and all that.
Salvation through Legislation

With all of the hooplah about falsified evidence for anthrogenic global warming and the suppression of evidence against it, Al Gore has been silent for some time. He has, however, decided to finally grace the pages of the New York Times with his wit and wisdom. In a charming editorial, Gore talks about how the proposed cap-and-trade legislation, which will increases taxes, utility costs, reduce jobs, and generally damage an already faltering economy, is so fantastic that even in global warming weren’t a trumped up fearmongering program that wasn’t supported by actual evidence, it would still be a spiffy idea. Of course, the famously uncritical New Yorks Times hasn’t bothered to cover the whole Climategate fiasco, which provides evidence that global warming is in fact a trumped up fearmongering program that isn’t supported by actual evidence, nor has it bothered to investigate Gore’s conflict of interest, as he stands to make billions off of his carbon trading initiative. Gore’s article is handled pretty well over at Several other commentators have latched onto Gore’s article and given it thorough treatment, including Counterculture Conservative, Jillian Bandes at Townhall, and Scipio at Red State but I’m more interested in something specific that he said in it. Gloabl Warming List
Posted by The Republican Heretic in Climate Change, Media on Tue 23 Feb 2010
Counterculture Conservative points to a Global Warming List, which lists everything that the media claim has been, is being, or will be caused by global warming. The list is below, in alphabetical order. The frequency of contradictory events being caused by global warming will stand on its own and not be commented on further. Read the rest of this entry »
Global Warming Fail
Posted by The Republican Heretic in Climate Change on Sun 21 Feb 2010
Mark Landsbaum presents a list of incidents which bring the data and assumption of anthropogenic climate change under question. Many of these data are accepted and presented as unquestionable fact, but yet are shown as problematic. Read the rest of this entry »
Either Way, It’s Global Warming
Posted by The Republican Heretic in Climate Change, Media on Sat 20 Feb 2010
Lori Ziganto at Right Wings News draws attention to a story on Gateway Pundit about global warming in San Francisco. You see, seven months ago, this story appeared, claiming that global warming was causing an increase in fog in the San Francisco Bay. But this week, this story reported that global warming was causing a decrease in fog in the San Francisco Bay. So within less than a year, global warming went from threatening to increase the fog beyond normal levels (whatever he hell that is supposed to be) to decreasing the fog to far below normal levels. Damn, that’s talent.
Climate Change Dance Theory
Posted by The Republican Heretic in Climate Change on Tue 16 Feb 2010
Zombie presents an interesting theory about the dissolution of the climate change movement. Apparently, there have been an increasing number of groups arraigning “dances” against climate change, in the same noble traditions of dances for peace in the ’60s. Zombie observes this to be a death-throe of the climate alarmists. Read the rest of this entry »
Multi-Talented Global Warming
Posted by The Republican Heretic in Climate Change, Media on Tue 16 Feb 2010
Anthropogenic Global Warming, or the theory that human activity is increasing the temperature of the planet, has been coming under fire for a while, especially with the recent Climategate scandal and the more recent comments by Phil Jones confirming that much of the data used to support climate change were falsified. This has done little to stop the Left in its mindless support of AGW as a means to implement draconian economic restriction on the world. AGW has long taken on the characteristic of a religious position rather than a scientific one, and the fact that climate change is being treated as unfalsifiable strengthens that analogy. The Left holds that any weather pattern — be it normal, abnormal, expected, unexpected, or not even related to weather — is proof of AGW, and nothing, even the fact that the average global temperature has been dropping for almost a decade, disproves it. That sounds like religious convicion to me. Read the rest of this entry »

Cambridge Combats Climate Change
Posted by The Republican Heretic in Media, National Politics on Sat 13 Feb 2010
Vladimir at Red State brings to our attention the extreme progressive paternalism of Cambridge, MA. The Cambridge Climate Congress is advising the city to enact rather draconian legislation to create a eco-friendly, progressive utopia, or some such nonsense. Provisions include banning all curbside parking, additional taxes on cars and grocery bags (paper and plastic), carbon taxes, and “Meatless or Vegan Mondays.”
Remember, the only way to a perfect society is to do exactly what the elites want you to do. Or else they’ll make you anyway.
